Mesh Data Sampling Genome Modifiers
There are very few Data Sampling modifiers in 3ds Max - the Surface Mapper modifier allows the copying of UV coordinates from a NURBS surface onto a mesh, but it is barely used. The modifier responsible for copying the mapping between high-res and low-res meshes, the Projection Modifier, does not support dynamic reprojection.
The Genome modifier fills in the gap by offering a large variety of possible Data Sampling and Data transfer modifiers, including the acquisition of various data channels like mapping coordinates, color, selection etc. from other objects, the sampling of particle data into geometry channels like Color and Selection and many more.
