XMesh Saver MX Caching FROST Particle Mesher
Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 3:45PM A new tutorial demonstrating the integration of XMesh MX with the FROST Particle Mesher has been posted in the Using XMesh Saver section of the documentation.
It demonstrates the loading of a multi-million fluid simulation saved to PRT file sequence from Exotic Matter's NAIAD software using the Krakatoa PRT Loader object, the transformation and modification of the simulation using the PRT Loader and Krakatoa Magma, the meshing of the particles using FROST, the caching of the resulting geometry using XMesh Saver MX and the loading of the cached geometry with the XMesh Loader MX object.

In addition, it highlights the ability to retime the already cached geometry animation using the XMesh Loader, as well as the data transfer from particles through FROST to XMesh cache, for example when creating new particles from the FROST volume using the Krakatoa PRT Volume object.
